The Horror Movie Idiot Moment. An entire horror movie can sometimes rest on a single moment where the characters do something that is just uncharacteristically stupid and illogical. Without that Idiot Moment, you've got no movie.
Some movies do this well and you don't even notice... it's written into the script logically, such as in Alien. If protocols had followed, then the alien is trapped in the airlocked and ejected to space.
But not all horror movies handle it so neatly. It's an interesting idea, but it seems to complicated to be handled as merely a vote incentive. Maybe it Joe could use it as the main comic when he does his top ten Horror movies.
