You do capture people's likeness well, Joe. I know that I've been super busy with holidays and break and everything, and it's going to be crazy to go back to work again in a week....

...any tips for staying productive during these busy times?

Oh aren't you fancy with your high res, haha. I need to do something cause my line art never comes out smooth when I scan it. Of course I am using a scanner from the late 90's so that might be part of the problem.

That sucks that Bob never responded. Perhaps he is on holiday vacation. THe picture turned out balls to wall awesome. I really dig the way you did her dress. You also captured their likeness so well, it is sort of creepy.

I do everything hi res and then shrink it for the web. 300 dpi-72dpi. Bob never contacted me so I guess i did this one for nothin'.

How do you make the hi res files? Do you scan it in at a higher resolution or do you just scan it normally and then turn it into a hi res file in photoshop? Also on a seperate note, what dpi do you scan JLCM in?

This one actually came out kind of cool I think. F-Bob, PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the hi res file.

I promise to be good this year, in return for a Joe Dunn drawing!

Feel free to leave out the very pretty background of my house if it'll make it too much more difficult

Thanks so much

With Christmas coming up, I need a good gift...so I was thinking I could super-high quality print a picture that Joe draws of me and her...along with some shiny piece of jewelry...
My request is also justified, as I posted a work story in the Prada contest.
Please only do this if you have any spare time, but I would appreciate it very much.

Opie's avatar is amazing in b&w. really shows Joe's mastery of the simple two color medium. i really like it.

Opie, I dig your picture too much in black and white to want to color it...if I did anything to it, it would be a very subtle grey scale.

My picture didn't have much black in it, so coloring it wouldn't hurt the image any. It's a great picture (thanks Joe!), and thanks for the coloring compliment.

I thought about coloring mine in, but then I realized two things.

1. I actually really dig it as a black and white image.
2. I don't actually know how to color it.

Really? I didn't think of your last Av as being aggresive, albeit a little crazy and duotonally psychadelic. This one, however, seems to have an angry you in it.

No probs with it, though. It's great art
(thanks Joe) and great colouring (thank Trev).

Thanks Fresno, I colored Joe's Payback Picture last night, and decided to make an avatar out of it. I think it comes off as slightly less agressive than my previous avatar. Here's the full picture:

Wow, that Jedi vampire looks like it belongs in an episode of a cartoon somewhere. Very nice work to both Joe and Heir.

I just figured them to light glints, not pupils, so I wasn't judging you on that. Just imagining that the eyes were all black.

If anything, I'd (if I was colouring it) colour the black area as something else, but I think it looks sweeter as black.
