I just loved how definitive "Too bad teleporting makes your head explode" seemed. As if it was common knowledge or something.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to have my head blown up after meeting Mega Man. That would be like getting shot after meeting Elvis or falling off a cliff during an intense hand-shake with George Washington.

I don't mind losing this one. I mean, at least somebody won, kinda... Better than having it just called off.

I thought the comic turned out really good. Nothing quite like an exploding head for a good laugh.

On the other hand I could go for some good ass-forking.

Though I never had an entry in this contest I feel cheated by this clear perversion of justice. To those of you who are interested, I'll be handing out the pitchforks and the torches Sunday outside of Joe's building.

Aw, hell, I can't stay mad at you, Joe. Not when you turn in such quality comic work. I'll cancel the angry mob at the next convenience.

the comic turned out really funny, and i pretended not to see the glasses on that character's face.

What the hell, Joe? You shit. This was a contest, and you just totally ruined it! Wah wah wah wah!

Nah, I'm kidding. Good comic, and you're good people. :)

You shit.

I just got to the section of tghe book where he tests out the effects of gravity and inertia on the jumps. It's nice that Gould took the time to at least acknowledge it where as the movie seemed to use it and loose it when it suited them. That mega punch that Jamie Bell delivers is pretty bad ass though. :D

And suddenly I feel like a child.

A twenty year old, five foot eight inch child. With lots and lots of hair. O_o

Hey, congratulations, man! My daughter's four months old now. I look forward to her not needing someone keeping close tabs on her absolutely every second.

About a year and a half actually. Surprised to see that anyone remembers me. When I was posting regularly before, it was when I was working at dull law firm and had all day to peruse the forums. When my son was born and I started being the housedude, my time became much less available. But now that he's 14 months old, he's a little more independent so my time isn't totally manipulated.

I'm dubbing this thread - insane. Carry on.

Shit yeah, I was just about to say. MD, where've you been? It's been over a year, I'm sure?

But that comic doesn't take the Jump with Joe contest theme into account. Besides, if Morgan Freeman is going to be in the comic at all, then he has to play all of the parts.

I agree. And...I can visualize a fairly funny comic to it...

I see a funnier comic, where Joe is all snug and tucked into bed while off to the side we see Morgan Freeman reading "Call me Ishmael."

Or better yet he takes the role of the grandpa in Princess Bride.
