Then, in that case, I'm glad it didn't happen? :|

But we weren't going to give them to you, Tom. We were going to taunt you with pictures of them.

Aw, that's nice of you to think of me, Trev.

No worries, though. I'm sure I'll get my hands on some Iron Man goodies when we're in Chicago!

REALLY looking forward to it this year.

BTW - Have The Pimps already reserved their tables?

Are you bringing Rock Band to Chicago? Because I'll get drunk and sing, so long as you're willing to save me a lot of times! :P

It gets to the point where I stop trying and just goof around. But yes, it was fun to hang out with you and Irv on Thursday - and I'm sorry you weren't able to make it to the con. That could have been a blast! I have some books I bought from you that need signing, damn it! :P

Seriously though, we'll make up for it in Chicago. It'll be awesome.

Also, Tom...Steve and I spent a good chunk of the weekend looking for Iron Man posters or statues to get for you (Phil and I were going to make a trip to 7-11 and get some collector cups), but it just never happened. Sorry. ;)

Awesome shirt, Peter :D

Also, just more proof that Turtle is everyone's favorite! :D

When we die those that get into heaven will be greeted by angels in Turtle T. Turtleson shirts. For those in hell, bunnies await.

Hey gang, NYC was kick ass! I have yet to finish unpacking, much less figure out if I even want to upload the little video that I took (especially one of Phil cuddling with his cousin at 2am after the bar, falling asleep).

But it was a blast! At one point I was 2 feet away from Stan Lee, and I got to play the Iron Man video game (it's difficult), as well as Metal Gear Online and LOST. I laughed at Rob Leifield, got hand sanitizer from the Andromeda Strain booth, and hung out with Cheecks for several hours.

All in all, it was a sweet con and I want to go back again next year.

I plan to just for the story behind it.

And it's true. She totally wants me.

I do have a semi amusing story:

Before the signing we were told that we weren't allowed to have personal items signed and no pics but one of the Dark Horse booth folks stealthily told us "If you have a comic or something in your hand just give it to them. They'll sign it. But try not to get something that's obviously a personal item like a poster".

Ok I thought. I had just gotten my Goon #7 signed by Eric Powell earlier that morning amd wanted Mike Mignola to sign it too.

So I handed the comic to Mike to sign when I got up to him. GDT was sitting next to him at the booth and Mike said "This has always been one of my favorite covers." GDT said "Oh yeah? Let me see that thing" and took it. He nodded his approval and proceeded to sign it. Mike looked a bit paniced and started to apologize and GDT went "Oh fuck. Did you want me to sign this? I'm sorry."

It was pretty funny. If GDT ever does the "Goon" I'm set:

i watched that video, (the beginning at least) but then clicked the video of mike mignola, who goes on to say that soon he will finally finally finally go back to drawing interiors. both hellboy-verse projects and original works in the vein of screw-on head.

fuck yes.

Joe... You said the shirts sold out - which is AWESOME!

Can I ask how much inventory you started with?

Post by Styles Bitchly » Mon Apr 21, 2008 10:42 am

My friend called and reminded me I needed to get to the Dark Horse booth to get my raffle ticket for the Hellboy 2 signing (I won by the way) so I b-lined for the booth which was at the front of the con. I don't think I made my way back to artists alley after that :(

I think I'm doing Heroes and Baltimore this year though so I'll definetly swing by at one of those if you're there :D
