I saw the interview too.... this is looking more like a well-casted ScyFy feature than a big budget Thor movie.

That's pretty gaudy. I'm with Linc: does it have to be so shiny? It's probably too late to do anything about this now, though. Aren't they filming?

God I love Natalie Portman. She's just the cutest damn thing. I want to marry her and have her babies.

Wait, I got that wrong somewhere.

I am noticing a profound lack of Loki's awesome helmet with the huge golden horns. Maybe he has to take it off when he is inside to get through doorways.

Digging how Kirby-ish it looks though.

Yeah I thought that, they're going for an updated version of the gawdy-God look Thor and the Asgardians used to rock. Brave but looking a bit sci-fi as well could help them integrate it with the avengers. When I think Branagh I think Shakespeare though, so I was expecting something a little more classical. And Brian Blessed.

But it's not uncharacteristically shiny for Branagh. Anyone remember how polished his Hamlet looked?

Eh, I like it. I think this will surprise us. Or at least I hope so.

I liked how shiny his Hamlet looked, though, because there was a degree of authenticity to it. Why do royals in the middle ages of Europe always have to look like the dark ages? 500+ years made a difference there, you know?

I'd be partial to a more Lord of the Rings look. At least some chainmail. Heh. Chanmail always looks sweet.

I think the Kirby style will work pretty well on film.

He isn't calling Zeus "Natalie," is he? That would be all kinds of gross.
