Yeah, good call. I totally would have missed that. i really really really hope they don't give a full on shot of Two Face ever in the promotion. It's a nice surprise that I hope they don't blow. there's so much juicy stuff with the joker. Why blow your load right?

Please don't combine the phrases "juicy stuff" and "blow your load" like that again. That's just a little too much ejaculation reference this early in the morning.

DARK KNIGHT TRAILER SPOILERS

the amount of acting packed into that one word (where we can assume two-face gets his scars) is amazing. the absolute desperation in his voice when he calls out "no" is heartbreaking. the level of talent in this movie has me salavating.

i also really like the implied characterization of the joker's thugs. they show him rallying these hardcore criminals to band together under him, fucking scary-looking dudes who, as evidenced in the previously-released long clip, are tough bastards with experience and expertise, rather than punk rock cliches or campy terrorists in matching outfits.

this joker has the reservoir dogs working for him.

MINOR IRON MAN SPOILERS

i'm gonna go out on a limb and call "batman begins" the best comic book movie so far with dark knight poised to overtake it. i loved iron man as much as anybody, but beyond the good acting, amazing action, well-executed origin and cool references, the threat itself is pretty standard.

it gets through everything that makes iron man who he is, making it fun and interesting, but then for the final threat, it resorts to an old standby. the hero's rival becomes his enemy, tries to kill him, but stark and his lady friend (the only person who really knows him) team up to turn the tables at the last minute and the threat is gone forever with no consequences. obviously, there are minor tweaks to make the pattern interesting, but that's the story at its core, and it feels familiar.

batman, though, gave us (and seems to still be giving us) more new angles than we can process at once. i say that while iron man is well-executed, batman is truly innovative.

There's a lot of debate over what the "best" comic book movie adaptation is and I think a lot of it is subjective.

I love Batman Begins. I think in terms of it being a serious film, it stands up well considering it's comic book origins.

That said, it's not very much "fun."

Iron Man plays with less of a heavy hand and I think it will stand up to repeated viewings similar to how the Spider-Man movies have (Spider-Man 3 excluded)

Batman Begins is a great movie. But Nolan's vision of Gotham City isn't a place I want to visit all that often.

personally, i'm just as willing to revisit a good movie with an ominous tone as i am with a lighthearted one. i'm not really into watching any movie over and over again once i'm familiar with it. most repeated views for me come when i realize someone i know hasn't seen something i consider a classic, and if that's the case, a thinker serves even better than eye candy.

V for Vendetta is pretty ominous, but I've watched it too many times to count
It just goes to show, never stick your dick in a pudding. It might still be good pudding and you can spend all afternoon explaining that but no one’s going to eat it BECAUSE YOU STUCK YOUR DICK IN IT. ~ Yahtzee

This will sound like I'm splitting hairs, but I think V for Vendetta has ominous themes, not an ominous tone.

I haven't watched the latest trailer yet, so maybe the image above isn't actually a surprise, haha.

That looks a bit more like something from one of the many photoshop competitions that occur throughout the net. If that was real, they'd need to cg animate that side of his face and I think they'd try to avoid that.

Not really, if his face is burned that bad then it would be pretty much frozen in place anyways... There would be no need for cgi just a good make up special effects artist...

Edited in case someone wants to avoid spoilers.

Clearly looks like a photoshop to me. Could also be concept art. Either way that is a really good design.
