Matriculated/Retail Rage Corssover!

Postby joerules » Wed Apr 18, 2007 10:08 am

Digitalpimp has started its very first official inner-site crossover between Matriculated and Retail Rage. The first two parts, which are now up and can be seen below, feature a phone conversation between two characters. One from each strip. If you read them separately they make sense, but read them together and you can get the full conversation.

This arc will continue for at least a few weeks when the comics update in their normal Monday and Wednesday spots. But for now be sure to check out parts one and two as well as a few strips before to get some background on what the phone conversation is about.

Kevin, the author and artist of Retail Rage, had sent me his strip about a week ago and I thought it would be fun if I contrasted his characters Captain America pictures with some Ironman stuff. I’m not trying to say that the two guys are opposites or enemies, but we all chose a side…

Wow. Those two strips make drastically more sense now. It's really nice to see what was going on at the other end of the line. Sweet.

One question though, Joe. If you chose to mirror Kevin's use of Captain America by throwing a bunch of Iron Man stuff up on the wall... where's the sketch of Kevin showing his ass on Jeremy's wall to mirror the Joe Dunn Sketch on the wall of Retail Rage?

Oh I'm kicking myself for not thinking of that first. :D It'll be on the other side of Jeremy's room. Along, hopefully, with some pictures of his Matriculated friends... :)

I wasn't even sure people would really notice the Cap stuff...

And man, Joe, are you trying to make me look bad? :D Looks like I'm going to have to step it up.

I think i just filled the cup.

This is going to be awesome. I like that they were on different sides of the CW conflict it looks like. Jeremy just lost cool points....what kind of loser has an Iron Man action figure? (Just kidding Tom).

This is really cool. Nice of Jermey to pause the game to pick up the phone. If I am gaming I never pick up the phone. And if someone else does and give it to me I just put it on speaker and kind of ignore the person on the other end.

I see a turtle shirt and a blue shirt...but no bunny.
Is this a conspiracy against the small woodland warrior? Regardless, this crossover will rule. Can Irv be thrown in for good measure?

Is anyone else concerned about the diaper thing? Where the hell did you guys go to college where that would happen?

Kevin...a bunny shirt? Come on. Oh and I own that Captain America shirt except mine is black. He should have a black armband on in memory of Cap haha. Looking good too. Killer art this week.

Cap shirt!!! Wooohhhoooo!
Mike at the backround!!! Wooohhhooo!

Pogues: Your Cap T-shirt is totally black or is the shield blue on it?
Becouse if it's a black shield than it's USAgents shield, according to Omega Flight. :)

No USAgents shield looks different than Caps. It is all black. It is the way they make them. It goes along with my black Fantastic Four shirt...which glows in the dark. Makes me feel ten years old when I wear it to the movies and it glows when the trailers start ahha.

Well, when I was 10 years old I just only knew about Garfield, Spider-man, Phantom, X-men, and maybe Transformers. But just only in comics. I have all the Spawns which was released there. It was cancelled at Issue 18. Fortunatelly all of it was double issues. But there was no shirts or things about them to collect.
