Meet the pituitary freaks of The New American Gladiators!

Postby Tom Brazelton » Thu Dec 13, 2007 11:31 am

Hosted by Hulk Hogan, no less!

I love how tan everyone is.

I think I like this guy the best - Wolf:

Actually, the little backstories the include with their profiles are kind of interesting. A couple of them auditioned for the original Gladiators. One of them is a Cuban refugee and another is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnsen's cousin and stunt double!

That's Hollywood for you!

Can someone move it?

There's a reason Malibu didn't last after the first season.

He was an idiot.

I've been waiting for this show to come back for 10 years. I still watch the re-runs on some deep cable channel. Can't wait for the premiere.

I'm going to be horrorably let down aren't I?

I dunno. Based on those pictures and the descriptions of the events, it doesn't seem to be that much different from the original.

You know who they should have got for this show? King Leonidas.

There was a wolf gladiator in the old UK version. He used to be the "bad boy" of the Gladiator world.

this guy looks like he belongs in the old WCW instead of gladiators.

man, i would love to attend a taping of gladiators. i realize now, watching youtube clips, that they don't need a really giant venue to house all the events. they just roll them out one by one as needed. as a kid i always assumed the were all sitting out on the floor together. i guess without the magic of editing, watching the whole thing must take all day, rather then just the one hour.

As much as I can't stand the stupidity of WWE and UFC, Gladiators was always at least an easy way to just enjoy an hour of nothing better on.

At least in Gladiators you had people hitting each other with giant Q-tips. That's entertainment!
It just goes to show, never stick your dick in a pudding. It might still be good pudding and you can spend all afternoon explaining that but no one’s going to eat it BECAUSE YOU STUCK YOUR DICK IN IT. ~ Yahtzee

i can't for the life of me find a youtube clip of the joust from the first season, when they fought on a bridge-looking thing, before they thought of the pedestals. i think the bridge had trap doors or something, but i can't verify that.
