I like your layouts on 297 Joe. It has a really good flow.

Thanks, man. I was trying to echo the feel of 296 but I realize now that having the giant heads vs. the smaller forms really helps the layout of 297. I'd like to try more of that.

Yeah, the different zoom levels are a big part of what make the panels work so well. Also, you positioned everyone well so their balloon placements worked!

I don't recognize the woman in the penultimate panel of the most recent installment. Who is she?

That is Sally, Dan's nemesis.

And don't forget, kids, that Sally secretly likes Dan. Dan doesn't know this. Steve, however, does know this. Now we just sit back and wait for the fireworks.

It's times like this that I wish Matriculated updated more than once a week.

Yeah, the strip really does need to go to twice weekly or more.

True enough. But I can't really complain too much. In all of the years I've been reading matriculated, I don't think they've ever missed any update. They may only update once a week, but they are rock solid with that update.

There are not too many comics out there that I can say the same thing about.

That's very, very true and certainly an accomplishment.

A regular schedule is my one fundamental rule about doing webcomics. Barring any unforeseen catastrophe, Matriculated will update on Wednesday. It may be be later in the day or it may not be perfect, but it will always be up on Wednesday.

Ding! And the memory lights go on. Thanks, Opie.

It would be handy if Matriculated had an "about" or a "cast" page. Very useful for an ongoing-storyline comic that updates one day a week, I'd think.

A cast page is definitely in the making. Especially with the expanding importance of the secondary cast members.

I just recently started seriously reading Matriculated and oddly enough I have come to enjoy it. I am not as big on long, story-based webcomics just because I generally do not have time to read them but both Matriculated and Retail Rage have hooked me recently.

So, with that said, Janette and Steve sharing a touching moment on comic #299? That is suspicious, I would say. I am guessing that there might be something big planned for #300.

If Phil decides to go with what he told me about then I think it would be a really big 300th strip... I won't know for sure for a couple days though. :/

This is gonna be good.
It just goes to show, never stick your dick in a pudding. It might still be good pudding and you can spend all afternoon explaining that but no one’s going to eat it BECAUSE YOU STUCK YOUR DICK IN IT. ~ Yahtzee
