I happen to like the costumes, but I'm also easily impressed and unfamiliar with the source material. The comic books, anyway. I know a fair bit about the actual myths.

At best, these pictures remind me of Lord of the Rings with extra sci-fi. At worst, Flash (Ah-ahhhhh!) Gordon, and that even isn't all that bad.

Actually, outside of being slightly uncomfortable with the eyepatch I've liked everything I've seen so far. I think it's going to be insanely cool and theatric, which is what I believe the material demands.

I thought it was that Thor needed a vessel on this plane and that was currently Blake. I dunno, it's kind of a useless mechanic and I'm not really sure anyone gives a crap about Blake (I don't.)

There was a time when Thor didn't turn into Blake anymore. Blake became a flesh and blood human being instead of just a construct. In the recent series, Thor came back to life after Ragnorok though Blake, renewing their bond. This time around though, Blake seems to be separate from Thor and "swapping" places with him when Thor is needed.

As for the "convenient rock" bear in mind almost no one can move the hammer Mjolnir. I'm suspecting SHIELD, unable to move it, carved around the base.

To be honest, I like my version of Loki's helmet a lot better.

Also, if someone let me handle that gauntlet, the gesture would be a little more dynamic. More metal, as it were. \m/

Actually...those wings are clearly made of metal. Everyone knows that historically speaking the wings on the helm of Thor are made from the feathers of a Karpathian Albatross; which must be killed and skinned on the setting of the fifth moon of Klar.

This is an outrage!

I think this is the place to post the worst anatomy-defying Rob Liefeld drawing that I've ever seen:

Also that trailer looks awesome.

I've never met anyone who actually likes Liefeld.

The trailer is gone. Dammit. :?

But wait! It's still up here:

It actually looks pretty good. I couldn't hear to much of the dialogue since I'm at work though...I'll have to check it out later when I'm home.

I've always been hit or miss with him. But, I really do like the newer stuff he is doing with the Deadpool Corp.

As for the trailer...I clicked play expecting to end with a "meh..." kinda feeling.

Instead...I'm now cautiously optimistic.

That looked pretty damn good! The trailer did reveal a bit much, though.
