videogames this fall

There's a ton of games coming out this fall! What're you getting?

My brother and I got Gears3 and beat it this week and had a blast. Horde and Beast mode will keep us playing for a long time, too. (Beast mode is laugh out loud hilarious to me).

Of the things I'm actually going to buy, I'm definitely getting Arkham City, Uncharted 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I will probably get Dark Souls as well. I will play a lot more games though.

Uncharted, Resistance and Batman are my current plans for purchases. Of course all this will actually wait until December so I have fewer distractions from study. Man, can't wait for Diablo III though.

I thought Diablo 3 was 2012? Can't say I'd be getting any of those.

I just realized the Ico/Shadows of the Colossus collection is coming out tomorrow... I also want that.

Also, apparently X-men Destiny is out today? Though, I'm still not entirely sure what the gameplay is supposed to be like?

I could be looking it up, instead of writing this, but I know what you mean about X-men destiny. I watched the long gameplay trailer way back when, and although I'd ordinarily be enthusiastic about an X-men game, it didn't really grab me. It just looked like some generic character throwing out lightning...

I watched the launch trailer and I still have no clue what the gameplay is like...

I was hoping X-Men would have multiplayer/co-op potential, but it doesn't. Single player, 3 character plots to choose from, and a linear style but your choices determine the plot. Its kind of a hack-n-slash with a customizable level up system. nothing too new or exciting.

Yeah, exactly, sounds kind of underwhelming, really. Is it just me who'd expect an X-man game to be about choosing an X-man to play as (not a new character), and team based gameplay? This seems a massive waste of the license. Not that I'm saying it's bad or anything, I have no idea.

X-Men has SO many characters that the idea of adding another one triggers my gag reflex. Perhaps if they went the Final Fantasy route of having a single main character, but able to direct other characters in combat and upgrade their powers as well.
My wife loves X-Men, and if they'd had some sort of co-op she'd definitely be interested in playing this with me. I'm disappointed. Maybe 'll rent it sometime and achievement hunt the campaign.

Gears of War 3, Rage, BF3, and MW3 for me this fall/winter. Anything else can wait.

Hit me up if you want to do Gears3. All I've done is the campaign so far.

My friends and I are trying to finish campaign on hardcore. The final boss is just way too brutal. We're taking a break, just playing Beast and Horde for the next few days...

I picked up my copy of Dark Souls for the PS3 at lunch today... I'm probably going to start my torture this weekend if anyone is interested in multiplayer.
