The show ended in 91. The reference came from an episode in 86. But there's reruns, there's TV Land, etc.
There's not being gay.

There's no one who's the epitome of not gay as JR Ewing.

It's transcended its source and become a pop culture "moment".

I don't think Gina's knowledge of sex terms means she's necessarily a freak, but Jeremy's response is on the money, Phil. Good stuff.

It actually was a Dallas reference? That is crazy. I thought it was going to be from a movie those two just happened to be in together. I was only 5 in 86 and I think I remember seeing that episode with my parents. It is definitely a pop culture moment. It is sort of like the Kahn! joke, not everyone has seen that movie but they know.

I got it. It's one of the three biggest "huh" moments in television history.

There's "Ohmigosh, the whole previous season of Dallas was just a dream."
There's "So that whole Vermont bed and breakfast was just a dream I was having?"
There's "And the entire thing was just the fantasy of this poor autistic kid with a snow globe".

Man... wacky stuff.

my guess is the pink shirt, but i am probably wrong. The dialogue in this one was really good. I love that they both say the samething about her being out of his league. Oh last night in Veronica Mars they used the word marticulated, I have been telling ever one it was a reference to your comic. she liked you that much at the con. Keep up the lie!

Seriosuly, when she said it I smiled. We need to get a sound bite and attatch it to every strip.

I think that's going to be the pull quote on the back of the first Matriculated collection:
"I'm gonna go matriculate myself!" - Kristen Bell (on an episode of Veronica mars)

Add on:
"I'm gonna go matriculate myself!" - Kristen Bell (on an episode of Veronica mars - where she wasn't talking about this comic at all.)

Out of context and without knowing what the word means, I bet it sounds really dirty and hot. I can just see some guy with his collar up turning to his roommate "I'd like to matriculate her!" *then the nessecary high five*. That would be a sweet quote to put on the back of the book though. You wouldn't need to point out that she wasn't talking about the comic, legally at least haha.
