Problem Posting

I get this probably 50% of the time:

"Mistake! There was an attempt of an automatic insert of the message in a forum. Return to previous page, copy the text, update page, insert the copied text and press button "Send"."

I got that once earlier today, for the first time. Weirded me well out!

Yeah, that message is from one of the spam blockers I installed. I believe that one is supposed to check the time it takes to fill out the form and when it's submitted. If the time is below a certain threshhold, it displays the error message. But it also seems to do it if a you leave the posting page up for a long time.

I'm working on fixing it. For now, a workaround is to go back to the posting page and copy the text of your post refresh the page, paste your text and submit.

Yep, I'd left the posting page up for ages - it was the Apocalypse list that I was typing out, which took me ages to do and I did some review reading in between, haha.

I think if you hit preview, then submit, it works. Not sure, gonna need to try it again if it fails on me.

But seriously... this problem sucks ass. I'd rather have the spam bots than have to jump through hoops.

Yeah. Just hit back, hit refresh, and hit send. Copying the post content is probably a good safety measure, but I've yet to have it wipe my post when I hit refresh.

It's annoying, but I'm glad to hear that there's a reasonable explanation.

It does it if you wait to long to post. I have that problem a lot cause I get interrupted by customers when I am typing a post. It isn't that big a deal, just a little work. Adds like 3 seconds to posting. I just assumed it was timing out cause it took me so long to finish the post. Good to know it is a spam blocker.
