So I didn't see this movie, but I dug your review. Most of all though, I had to make a post to say that comic was brilliant. The dialogue is amazing and the tap sounds at the end made me laugh. Great job Joe!

Thanks Pogues. I'm actually kind of happy with how the review came out. I took a lot from my first reaction I wrote out last week in the boards, but had fun fine tuning and adding to it last night. I'm glad you enjoyed it as well. :D

For the comic though. Should the taps be replaced with pings? jk

I totally agree with Pogues here. The comic was perfect and the review did a really great job of giving us a flavor without getting into the specifics of the plot.

One thing... you might need to do a find of all instances of "Anastasia" in the article and replace them with "Anesthesia". You refer to Anastasia Awareness multiple times in the article.

You could change them from taps to topangas. :D

Great comic, Joe. First panel has a misprint in it: "That actually happened."

I think many people want to kill him for not only Episode 2, but also for that brief appearance in Jedi the special edition.

Oh, man - was THAT ever ill-conceived!

Major WTF moment when he shows up at the end. Still! To this day!

Yeah, and there was some lame excuse to go along with it from Lucas - something about "the spirit is represented only the last time a Jedi was light side" or some BS like that.

Well, Darth kind of switched sides at the end again, which I would say shows his "light side" intent. I would say that he redeemed himself in Jedi and therefore earned his light side status.....

also, qui-gon was apparently the one who invented the "ghost" technique, so shouldn't he be there to? i mean, as long as you're adding in prequel actors... where the hell else would ghost qui-gon be hanging out? ben's there, and it's the helmet-drummingest party of the season!

See, if that's all the case, then I think Obi-Wan got gypped. If Anakin gets to be young in the afterlife, why not Obi-Wan? Your logic sucks, Lucas!

But yeah, loved today's comic. So much so that I had to end my almost one whole year of lurking and say so.

maybe he figured that as long as that ghost didn't look like anyone in the movie, he may as well have been more attractive, cause he never did look like vader at the moment of death anyway. anakin never wore the clothes from the original version and looked that way at the same time anyhow.

not to mention that it's implied that qui-gon had to teach the jedi how to use ghost mode while they were still alive, which he never would have gotten to do with vader.

As to what Opie said, although it's an awareness during anaesthesia, I believe the term used is Anastasia Awareness, for some reason. Probably just to confuse people.

EDIT: Hey Joe, just in your review relating to the hitch, I have to support Stakeout and Another Stakeout, since I loved those movies, but they're definitely comedic cop films. But, a film about the really boring part of police work would be paperwork. Yikes!

But this looks like it could be pretty good. To be honest, Death Sentence was about a guy who hadsome bad shit happen, followed through with violence, and tried to lay low. Obviously not for long, leading to worse shit happening, but as a hitman, this would just show how well he does it (oh, and Colin's surname is Farrell, Ferrell is Will's surname).

I have no clue where you got this idea from, but it's utterly wrong.

Recent studies have suggested that the actual number is closer to 1,400 incidences per year in the U.S., which would represent 0.0067% of surgeries, as opposed to the 30,000 per year, which would still only represent .14%. So either way, not something to be too overly concerned about happening - pretty long odds.
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.
